Full Sail Marine (FSM) was contracted to design, fabricate, and install a CLASS-approved aluminum folding platform to integrate with the vessel’s existing tender access ladder. The objective was to deliver a structurally compliant and operationally efficient solution aligned with marine regulatory standards.
The project involved full engineering development, including design in accordance with MSC.1/Circular 1331 standards and structural calculations based on ISO 5488 requirements. All drawings and calculations were submitted for CLASS review and approval prior to fabrication.
Following approval, FSM procured 6061-T6 aluminum material and carried out fabrication using qualified technical personnel. The platform was designed to lock-fit into existing coupler pockets and included removable handrails, as well as a hinged and foldable ladder access ramp for operational flexibility.
Installation was completed onboard the vessel, followed by operational testing, load testing, and certification to verify compliance and performance.
The completed platform provides a durable, fully compliant access solution that integrates seamlessly with vessel operations while allowing for ease of storage and handling.
